Who is eligible for the program?

Challenged Champions benefits individuals with special needs through horseback riding and other horse related activities which promote physical, emotional and mental development. Our riders are encouraged to be as independent as possible. They learn the fundamentals of good horsemanship by using their own abilities, specially trained horses, instructors, volunteers and adaptive equipment. The written consent of the individual's physician is required.

How do riders apply?

Upon completion of an application, riders are evaluated and selected from members of the volunteer professional team. Classes are taught by certified therapeutic riding instructors and trained volunteers. We offer 10-week sessions with each class limited to no more than 5 riders. Please contact us for our current fees. Scholarships are available.
